Job summary

Teradyne Philippines, Ltd. - Cebu is seeking a Materials Planner/Industrial Engineer to manage spare parts availability and inventory strategies for discontinued and EOL materials.

You will forecast demand, lead LTBs, and coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, and suppliers to prevent shortages and support repair operations. Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in production/material planning and/or data analytics.
• Cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Query).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Forecast demand, usage, consumption trends, and spares purchases to ensure long-term material availability.
• Manage global inventory positioning and stocking levels across repair and service locations.
• Monitor inventory health, including backorders, excess and obsolete inventory, and stockouts.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Commodity Management, Purchasing, Supplier Management, Vendor Planners, Program Managers, and suppliers to resolve material challenges.

Opportunity Overview

• Ensure availability of repair components and service parts to support customer requirements and repair operations.
• Develop and execute inventory strategies for discontinued, obsolete, and End-of-Life (EOL) materials.
• Perform Last-Time Buy (LTB) calculations, analysis, procurement, and replenishment planning.
• Forecast demand, usage, consumption trends, and spares purchases to ensure long-term material availability.
• Manage global inventory positioning and stocking levels across repair and service locations.
• Monitor inventory health, including backorders, excess and obsolete inventory, and stockouts.
• Assess supply risks and implement corrective actions to prevent material shortages and service disruptions.
• Manage spares budgets, purchase execution, and variance analysis.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for late shipments and supply issues.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Commodity Management, Purchasing, Supplier Management, Vendor Planners, Program Managers, and suppliers to resolve material challenges.
• Develop mitigation plans, alternate sourcing strategies, and technical solutions for critical components.
• Expedite material deliveries and support cost-reduction initiatives with suppliers.
• Escalate critical shortages and potential stockouts to business leaders and stakeholders.
• Provide inventory status, supply outlooks, and recovery plans to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to support EOL transitions and customer-impacting supply issues.
• Create dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to support decision-making and risk management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory performance, planning effectiveness, and supply chain operations.
• Collaborate closely with worldwide cross-functional teams

• Graduate of BS Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or related field.

• Preferably with 2-3 years of experience in production/material planning and/or data analytics.

• Other degree holders with related experience may apply.

• Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Strong sense of urgency and ability to work under tight deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Query).

• Experience with AI tools is a plus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
