Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Postgraduate studies or certifications in Operations Management, Lean Manufacturing, or TPM preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of production or manufacturing management experience.
• Experience managing 100+ employees preferred.
• English (Advanced) required; Spanish (B1) beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee plant production operations to meet targets and quality standards.
• Manage production planning, resource utilization, and performance monitoring.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean/TPM/DMAIC methodologies.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, QA, Supply Chain, Warehouse, EHS, and R&D.
• Ensure GMP, food safety, quality, and ISO compliance; manage budgets and COGS.
• Develop people and performance; steward safety and regulatory permits.
• Monitor KPIs and production costs; lead large manufacturing teams.

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for leading and overseeing plant production operations to ensure the timely and cost-effective manufacture of safe, high-quality products while meeting production targets and complying with corporate, legal, environmental, and regulatory standards. The role manages production planning, resource utilization, performance monitoring, continuous improvement, and cross-functional coordination with Engineering, Maintenance, QA, Supply Chain, Warehouse, EHS, and R&D. It also ensures compliance with GMP, food safety, quality, occupational safety, and applicable management systems; leads people development and performance management; manages production budgets and costs; monitors operational risks and KPIs; supports regulatory and permit requirements; and drives initiatives that improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and overall plant performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
• Preferred: Postgraduate studies or certifications in Operations Management, Lean Manufacturing, or TPM.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of production or manufacturing management experience, preferably in food or agribusiness.
• Demonstrated background in production planning, operational improvement (DMAIC/Lean), budgeting, crisis management, and leading large manufacturing teams.
• Experience managing a workforce of 100+ employees is preferred.

Languages

Advanced English (C1); Intermediate Spanish (B1) is valuable.
