Asia Cosmos Cosmetics Manufacturing in Metro Manila is seeking a Production Supervisor to plan, organize, and oversee daily production to meet targets and schedules. You will lead a workforce of 50–70 employees including operators, line leaders, and support staff.
The role requires GMP knowledge, hands-on leadership, and strong ability to coordinate with QA/QC, R&D, and maintenance while ensuring safety and compliance in a fast-paced cosmetics manufacturing environment.
Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities to meet production targets and delivery schedules.
Lead and manage a production workforce of approximately 50–70 employees, including production operators, line leaders, and support personnel.
Manage manpower allocation, scheduling, attendance, productivity, and performance to ensure efficient production operations.
Manage the manufacturing process, including weighing, compounding, mixing, filling, packing, and labeling of cosmetic products.
Ensure production activities comply with approved formulas, batch records, SOPs, work instructions, and GMP requirements.
Monitor production output, yield, manpower productivity, material usage, downtime, rejects, and production costs.
Coordinate with QA/QC, R&D, Warehouse, Purchasing, Maintenance, and Planning to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production operations.
Investigate production issues, deviations, rejects, equipment-related problems, and process inefficiencies, and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure proper sanitation, housekeeping, equipment operation, workplace organization, and safety practices within all production areas.
Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate production personnel; establish clear performance expectations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain effective manpower and production schedules based on production requirements and delivery commitments.
Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation, and other manufacturing reports.
Prepare and present regular production performance reports, including output, efficiency, yield, downtime, manpower productivity, rejects, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, downtime, rejects, rework, and manufacturing costs while improving productivity and operational efficiency.
Identify opportunities to improve production processes, manpower utilization, equipment efficiency, and overall workflow.
Assist with new product launches, production scale-up, process improvement, validation, and product transfers.
Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits as required and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
Ensure effective communication and coordination across production shifts and departments.
Perform other duties and responsibilities related to production operations as assigned by management.
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Food Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience, preferably in cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, food, or other GMP-regulated industries.
At least 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial production role, preferably with experience managing a large production workforce.
Proven experience in directly managing and leading approximately 50–70 employees is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of GMP, manufacturing processes, quality systems, production planning, and workplace safety.
Experience in cosmetics or personal-care manufacturing is highly preferred.
Familiarity with Philippine FDA requirements and Cosmetic GMP is an advantage.
Strong leadership, people-management, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple production lines, priorities, and operational issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of production KPIs, manpower productivity, yield, material utilization, downtime, rejects, and manufacturing costs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/MRP systems is an advantage.
Willing to work extended hours, weekends, or shifting schedules when required.
Willing to work in a hands-on production environment and take an active role in resolving day-to-day manufacturing issues.
