Job description

The Production Lead is responsible for production activities, schedule confirmation and exceptions management. Coordinates workflow to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This role serves as a bridge between accredited co-packers and Matcha Kari.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties

• Monitor and confirm production schedules and ensure output goals are met.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Ensure that production goals and objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitor product quality and address defects or process issues.
• Collaborate with Logistics Team on the arrival of all matcha powders required for production.
• Address production delays and product damages and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Communicate production status, issues, and improvements to management.
• Promote continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.
• Monitor production performance, identify areas of improvement, and take corrective action as needed.
• Develop and implement production KPIs and Metrics, SOPs and workflows
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure all materials required are delivered to the co-packers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and resolve them in a timely manner

How to succeed in the role

• To succeed, the Production Lead must consistently update Monday.com boards in a timely manner to keep Sales and Operations Project Managers informed throughout the production process.
• Take ownership of identifying and compiling Non- and Slow-moving inventories for E&O execution.

Education, Experience, and Required Skills

• Bachelors in Supply Chain or something equivalent, APICS/ISM certifications highly preferred
• 5-8 years’ minimum experience in Production Planning, Production Scheduling, Capacity Planning, Continuous Improvement initiatives, and relevant software applications.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills for effective dealings with suppliers and internal team members.
• Experience supporting operations producing highly engineered mechanical product lines is preferred
• Strong technical and analytical skills. Process-driven and attention to detail
• Successful driving results within a manufacturing organization embracing a Lean/Six Sigma transformation
• Change Agent – skill with enabling change, strong influencing abilities, particularly with client groups and frontline teams.
