Job summary

Motolite Marketing Corp. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee the Wetfin production line and ensure adherence to ISO 9000 and 14001 standards. The role involves leading production engineers, coordinating maintenance, and driving continuous improvement.

You will plan schedules, implement procedures, and collaborate with other departments to secure reliable resources. A background in engineering and lean/Six Sigma exposure is preferred, with readiness to be stationed in Bulacan.

Qualifications

• Graduates of Engineering or related fields with licensure preferred.
• 1-2 years of working experience in manufacturing, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
• Willingness to be assigned in Bulacan.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs workloads of production engineers ensuring products meet quality standards.
• Ensures implementation of preventive maintenance schedules for all Wetfin equipment per ISO standards.
• Develops and implements actions to improve resource utilization to meet forecasts and budgets.
• Plans schedules and directs staff with clear instructions.
• Develops and implements production operating procedures for efficient assembly; ensures machines run reliably.

Job Summary:

Responsible in managing the over- all operations of NFB - Wetfinish.
Accountable in developing and managing the implementation of quality standards set by ISO 9000 and ensuring that the production operation is compliant to the ISO14001 standard.

Principal Duties:

1. Supervises, directs and controls workloads of production engineers and those responsible in ensuring products being manufactured are in accordance with the product quality standards of the company.

2. Ensure the effective and implementation of daily, weekly and monthly preventive maintenance program schedule to all machine equipment at Wetfin operation in accordance to the ISO 9002 standards and ISO14001 standards.

3. Develops and implements ways to improve utilization of resources to increase production and meet production forecast / budget.

4. Plan schedule, directs supervises workloads to staff passing on detailed information and specific instructions.

5. Develops and implement production operating procedures for the enhancement of production assembly.

6. Ensure that all machines are in good running condition to meet the required production targets.

7. Implement and maintain discipline within the Wetfin operation and conducts meeting /open forum to promote mutual understanding and productivity consciousness.

8. Interface with other departments affiliate companies to ensure reliable supply of the resources intended for production.

9. Maintain and develop training procedures to promote quality and Environmental awareness with in the group.

10. Checks and examine defective batteries, determine it’s specific cause or nature of defect and determine the action plan to be taken to eliminate the cause of problem.

11. Check and prepare spare parts requisition to ensure availability when needed.

12. Check and countersign job orders, purchase requisition, overtime permits and other related reports.

13. Make regular round to ensure progress and performances of subordinates jobs in accordance with the company standard.

14. Strictly implement safety measures to lessen work downtime.

15. Testing of new equipment or machinery

16. Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate superior.

17. Serves as the Project Adviser of the Section in the Kaizen Program

17.1 Keeps track of the section’s performance in the Kaizen Program: ensures that all personnel actively participate in the program and that projects are fully implemented monitored and standardized into the SOP’s.

17.2 Provides assistance to the team in the problem analysis and data gathering using appropriate QA tools, provides inputs in the project design.

17.3 Provides assistance to the teams during project implementation.

17.4 Continuously monitors the projects’ performance in terms of its effect on the department indicator even after the project audit and communicates the result to the Focus Adviser and Kaizen Secretariat.

1. Evaluates in coordination with the Environmental Section the potential environmental aspects and impacts of new equipment, processes and procedures. Ensures that all operations with identified significant environmental aspects are done under specified conditions in order to ensure its control

2. Suggests and implements Environmental Programs to address significant environmental aspects and ensure continual environmental performance improvement.

Qualifications:

Graduates of Engineering or related fields, preferably with licensure, providing a strong foundation in relevant principles.
1-2 years of working experience in a manufacturing company, preferably in a supervisory capacity, demonstrating practical knowledge of production processes.
Willingness to be assigned in Bulacan.
Above-average communication skills, both oral and written, facilitating effective coordination and collaboration within the team.
Familiarity with process engineering tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean Management, and Six Sigma would be advantageous, enhancing problem-solving abilities and process optimization.
