Job summary

Ubiquity is recruiting an experienced End User Product Owner for internal HCM platforms. You will own the vision, backlog, and stakeholder liaison across HRIS, security, payroll, compliance to maximize business value and user adoption.

Lead agile ceremonies, translate policies into scalable features, ensure data governance and privacy compliance, and drive change management through UAT and release cycles.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years in human capital management technology, HRIS analysis, or product ownership.
• Dedicated agile product ownership experience handling HCM systems.
• Deep functional knowledge of HCM software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Vision & Roadmap: Formulate and communicate the strategic long-term vision and technical roadmap for the company's internal HCM platforms.
• Backlog Management: Author comprehensive user stories, map functional workflows, define acceptance criteria, and prioritize the product backlog for development sprints.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Partner with internal HR, development, information security, payroll, compliance, operations, training, quality, workforce management, finance, and legal teams to transform complex policies into scalable software features.
• Agile Collaboration: Lead sprint planning, participate in daily standups, facilitate backlog grooming, and manage technical dependencies with Scrum and engineering teams.
• User Experience: Champion intuitive self-service functionalities for employees and managers to maximize platform adoption.
• Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure all features align with data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and global security protocols.
• Change Management: Coordinate UAT, oversee release cycles, and collaborate on training documentation.

The Product Owner owns the vision, lifecycle, and continuous improvement of internal human capital management systems. They champion people technology initiatives, spanning recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, talent management, learning management and employee self-service, ensuring platforms maximize business value, enhance user experience, and align with overall corporate compliance.

What You’ll Do:

4. Agile Collaboration: Lead sprint planning, actively participate in daily standups, facilitate backlog grooming, and manage technical dependencies alongside Scrum and engineering teams.
5. User Experience: Champion intuitive self-service functionalities for employees and managers to maximize platform adoption and operational efficiency.
6. Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure all system features align strictly with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and global information security protocols.
7. Change Management: Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), oversee release management cycles, and collaborate on system training documentation for employee rollouts.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5-7+ years in human capital management technology, HRIS analysis, or product ownership, with specific expertise in HCM solutions (e.g. Workday, Oracle HCM Cloud, SuccessFactors, etc)
• Dedicated agile product ownership or product management experience, specifically handling human capital management systems
• Deep functional knowledge of HCM software platforms
• Mastery of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile software development workflows
• Proficiency with product tracking applications like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
• Demonstrated stakeholder management with ability to explain technical components to non-technical partners
• Exceptional negotiation and clear documentation skills, with a proven ability to reconcile conflicting stakeholder priorities
