Reed Elsevier Philippines is seeking a Product Manager to lead the development, management, and enhancement of internal web applications and AI-enabled capabilities that automate and optimize business processes. You will translate user needs into product requirements, own the roadmap, and lead cross-functional teams from discovery through production rollout and continuous improvement.

The role requires demonstrated experience delivering AI projects with measurable business impact and familiarity

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years in product management for web applications.
• Proven ownership of at least one AI-enabled application.
• Experience with generative AI, ML, or AI-assisted automation.
• Knowledge of AI concepts (LLMs, RAG, prompts) and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Strong ability to define business cases, success metrics, and cost models.
• Experience with agile methodologies and product tooling.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the development, management, and enhancement of internal web applications and AI-enabled capabilities that automate and optimize business processes. You will translate user needs into product requirements, own the roadmap, and lead cross-functional teams from discovery through production rollout and continuous improvement. The role requires demonstrated experience delivering AI projects with measurable business impact. Experience with HR systems or processes is a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Management and Strategy

• Define and execute product roadmaps aligned with strategic goals, business requirements, and user needs.
• Conduct discovery with stakeholders and end users; define problem statements, assess AI suitability, and prioritize opportunities using business value, feasibility, risk, and cost.
• Translate requirements into product features and user stories; prioritize the backlog using data, stakeholder input, and organizational priorities.

Product Delivery and Execution

• Lead agile delivery across the product lifecycle, partnering with engineering, QA, UX, data specialists, and business stakeholders.
• Define acceptance criteria and validate delivered features against business requirements; conduct regular demonstrations and stakeholder validation.
• Lead AI initiatives from discovery and prototype through pilot, production release, and ongoing improvement; make evidence-based decisions to proceed, revise, or stop.

AI Quality and Responsible Delivery

• Partner with technical teams to assess data readiness, solution options, integration needs, and build-versus-buy trade-offs.
• Define AI evaluation scenarios, representative test cases, and release thresholds covering output quality, unsupported outputs, response time, cost, and failure handling.
• Coordinate with security, privacy, and governance stakeholders on data access, sensitive information, bias, auditability, and human review. Establish appropriate fallback and escalation paths.

User Engagement and Adoption

• Gather user feedback and identify pain points; use feedback loops to improve functionality and user experience.
• Coordinate rollouts, user training, documentation, and change management to support adoption.
• Define baseline and post-launch measures such as time saved, error reduction, adoption, and cost per successful task; monitor AI quality and prioritize improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant product management experience, preferably owning web applications that automate or optimize internal business processes.
• Demonstrated product ownership of at least one AI-enabled application or capability delivered into production, including discovery, prioritization, pilot evaluation, launch, and post-launch improvement. Candidates must be able to explain their individual contribution and measurable results.
• Practical experience working with engineering and data or AI specialists to deliver generative AI, machine learning, or AI-assisted automation within a business workflow.
• Working understanding of AI product concepts, including large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt design, model limitations, and human-in-the-loop workflows; able to discuss quality, cost, latency, and reliability trade-offs with technical teams.
• Experience defining AI evaluation criteria and using test results and user feedback to decide whether a capability is ready for release.
• Ability to develop business cases, establish success metrics, and demonstrate realized benefits alongside implementation and ongoing operating costs.
• Experience identifying data quality, privacy, security, and responsible AI risks and coordinating appropriate controls with relevant specialists.
• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, the software development lifecycle, and product management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Ability to document product requirements, write clear user stories and acceptance criteria, manage backlogs, and communicate priorities and trade-offs.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, with experience leading user adoption and influencing technical and non-technical partners.

Preferred Experience

• Experience integrating AI into enterprise web applications, knowledge search, document processing, or business workflow automation.
• Exposure to enterprise AI platforms such as Chat GPT, Claude, Azure AI or Microsoft Copilot Studio, and integration with APIs, enterprise data sources, or Microsoft Power Platform.
• Experience with AI agents or tool-enabled workflows, including permissions, approval steps, and exception handling.
• Experience managing AI service providers or vendors and assessing solution quality, costs, and operational support.
