Job summary

XM is seeking a passionate and execution-focused Product Manager Crypto to support the delivery of our new crypto trading platform. This role covers wallets, custody, funding, transaction lifecycles and trading infrastructure.

You will translate product strategy into requirements, collaborate across teams, define end-to-end flows, and ensure go-live readiness with runbooks and controls. 3–5 years in product management with crypto/fintech exposure is preferred.

Job description

We’re looking for a passionate and execution-focused Product Manager Crypto to support the delivery of our new crypto trading platform. This role sits at the heart of our crypto ecosystem, spanning wallets, custody, funding, transaction lifecycles and trading infrastructure.

This is a hands-on role focused on turning the product strategy of some of the most critical building blocks of our crypto platform into execution. From wallets and custody to transaction processing and crypto spot trading you’ll work on the products and systems that securely move customer assets, power seamless trading experiences and ensure our platform is resilient, scalable and operationally ready as we continue to expand our digital asset offering.

Success in this role requires a genuine passion for crypto and an interest in how digital asset platforms operate behind the scenes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and systems-thinking capabilities and a deep interest in designing best in class user experiences.

The key responsibilities of the position include:

• Support the execution of the crypto product roadmap by translating product strategy into detailed product requirements, user stories, and functional specifications
• Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure high-quality, timely delivery of product initiatives
• Define and document end-to-end product flows across wallets, crypto funding, trading, and transaction lifecycle management
• Support integrations with custody providers and other crypto infrastructure partners to deliver secure and scalable platform capabilities
• Define operational workflows, edge cases and failure scenarios for key platform capabilities, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and settlement
• Coordinate the launch of new offerings, ensuring go-live readiness through internal approvals and controls, operational runbooks, product validation, pilot client phasing, and marketing through to final launch
• Collaborate with Design, Customer Support, and Operations to continuously improve user journeys, product quality, and operational efficiency
• Balance customer needs, technical constraints, and regulatory requirements when defining product solutions
• Initiate product adjustments as necessary to ensure that the product continues to meet business goals

Main requirements:

• At least 3–5 years of Product Management experience, preferably with 1-3 years of experience in crypto, fintech, trading, payments, or other financial technology environments
• Experience delivering customer-facing digital products through the full product lifecycle
• Experience working within Agile product development teams and collaborating closely with engineering teams
• Strong understanding of crypto platform fundamentals, including:
• Crypto spot trading and the differences between spot trading and leveraged/CFD products like Blockchain transaction lifecycles and confirmations/ Crypto deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and settlement/ Crypto wallet infrastructure and custody concepts
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with the ability to break down complex product challenges into scalable solutions
• Experience writing clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
• Comfortable defining product flows, operational scenarios, and system behaviours
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives within a fast-paced and evolving environment
• Comfortable leveraging AI tools to accelerate product discovery, documentation, analysis, and execution

The following will be considered an advantage:

• Experience working with crypto custody providers or wallet infrastructure platforms
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics, AML/KYT processes and Travel Rule requirements
• Experience working on crypto exchanges, brokerages, trading platforms, or payment products
• Exposure to reconciliation, settlement, treasury, or operational workflows within financial systems
• Experience working with APIs and third-party platform integrations
• Personal involvement in crypto through trading, wallets, DeFi, or blockchain projects
