Job description

Build products that help businesses move money—and grow—better.

At PayMongo, we're building the financial infrastructure that enables businesses to participate and thrive in the digital economy. Behind every product we launch is a problem worth solving: how can we make payments simpler, more useful, and more valuable for the businesses that rely on us?

We're looking for a Product Manager who can turn customer problems, business opportunities, and complex constraints into products that create measurable impact.

You’ll own products and initiatives across the full lifecycle—from discovering the right problems to solve, shaping the roadmap and working with Engineering and Design to build solutions, through launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.

What you will do

As a Product Manager, you'll bring together customer insight, commercial thinking, data, and technology to make thoughtful product decisions. You will:

  • Own and shape your product roadmap, making clear prioritization decisions based on customer value, business impact, and technical realities.
  • Get close to merchants and users through research, discovery, and experimentation to understand the problems that genuinely matter.
  • Turn customer and business needs into clear product requirements, success metrics, and actionable plans for Engineering and Design.
  • Work closely with Engineering throughout development—navigating trade-offs, resolving dependencies, and keeping teams focused on delivering meaningful outcomes.
  • Use data and customer feedback to evaluate product performance, test assumptions, and decide what to improve next.
  • Understand the commercial implications of your decisions, including revenue opportunities, pricing, risk, and operational impact.
  • Partner with Finance, Risk, and Compliance to ensure products are commercially sound and built responsibly within the Philippine payments environment.
  • Work with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and other teams to bring products to market and drive adoption—not simply ship features.
Who we're looking for

You’ll likely thrive in this role if you have:

  • Experience owning digital products or meaningful product initiatives from discovery through launch and iteration.
  • Strong product judgment and the ability to distinguish an interesting idea from a problem genuinely worth solving.
  • Experience building and prioritizing roadmaps while balancing customer needs, business goals, and engineering capacity.
  • A data-driven mindset—you can define meaningful success metrics and use evidence to guide decisions rather than relying solely on instinct.
  • Strong customer and UX thinking, with the ability to turn research and feedback into product decisions.
  • The ability to work effectively with engineers and designers and influence teams without relying on authority.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and comfort navigating competing priorities across technical and commercial teams.
  • The adaptability to operate in a fast-moving environment where priorities, information, and constraints can change quickly.

Experience in fintech, payments, or financial services is an advantage, but what matters most is your ability to understand complex products, ask the right questions, and make sound product decisions.

Why this role matters

Great product management isn't about shipping the longest list of features. It's about choosing the right problems to solve and making sure the solutions actually work—for customers and for the business.

Your decisions will directly influence customer experience, product adoption, revenue, and how effectively PayMongo brings new capabilities to market. You'll help us deliver products faster, strengthen merchant relationships, navigate the realities of a regulated industry, and build financial infrastructure that can scale with our customers.

You’ll also have a pretty tangible definition of success: Are merchants adopting what we build? Are they staying? Is it generating value? Did we deliver well? And did we actually improve their experience? Those outcomes sit at the heart of how this role is measured.

Why PayMongo?

At PayMongo, we believe every business deserves access to financial tools that help it succeed. We're customer-centric, deeply collaborative, and driven by ownership. We move quickly, challenge assumptions, and solve problems across the boundaries of Product, Engineering, Design, Commercial, Operations, Risk, and Finance.

If you're the kind of Product Manager who gets excited about understanding why a problem exists before deciding what to build, enjoys working through ambiguity, and wants to see your decisions translate into real outcomes for businesses, we'd love to meet you.
