Job summary

Lear Corporation in Chihuahua, Mexico, invites applications for a Product Engineer to develop and release product technical information and assure trials design compliance.

You will load and maintain engineering data in manufacturing systems, update BOMs, harness prints, and create cost studies for engineering changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Product Engineer in the automotive industry (Harness).
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and analyzes technical information for engineering changes from customer, manufacturing, or engineering.
• Loads technical information into manufacturing systems such as QAD, UCS and LMI.
• Ensures harness prints, BOMs, cutsheets, visuals, and labor time accuracy.
• Updates BOMs for engineering changes and manufacturing adjustments from teardowns.
• Analyzes ECOs and prepares DCNs for the team.
• Prepares BCN to update BOM per changes.
• Creates packaging specifications for finished goods.
• Creates cost studies for each engineering change proposed by the customer.
• Generates and analyzes cost-reduction ideas (CTO).

Job Description

We are in position to offer a great job opportunity to work as aProduct Engineer, based in ourNova Plant (Chihuahua, México).

As a Product Engineer you will be in charge to develop and release the products technical information assuring the trials design compliance.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities typically include:

• Obtains, analyzes, and provides the technical information required for the engineering changes proposed by the customer, manufacturing, or engineering.
• Load the technical information in the manufacturing systems QAD, UCS, LMI, etc.
• Ensure the accuracy of harness prints, bills of materials (BOM), cutsheets, visual aids and labor time.
• Ensure the updating and precision of bills of materials (BOM) according to engineering changes and manufacturing adjustments, as a result of "teardowns".
• Analyzes engineering change proposals and based on these prepares design change notifications (DCN) for the team.
• Prepares BOM change notification (BCN) to update BOM according to engineering changes and/or manufacturing adjustments.
• Create and design of packaging specifications for the finished goods.
• Create cost studies for each of the engineering changes proposed by the Customer.
• Generation and analysis of cost reduction ideas (CTO).
