Job summary

Stellantis NV seeks a testing engineer to instrument and prepare vehicles and benches for driving tests, ensuring proper setup and documentation per procedures. You will manage vehicle behavior, confirm maintenance/calibration of equipment, and certify all pre-test readiness.

You will advise engineers on changes affecting components or performance, report issues promptly, and set up electronic devices to connect vehicles with testing systems, driving continuous improvement in testing procedures.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required.
• 5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• 5 years of driving experience (cars and trucks).
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electronic/Automotive Engineering.
• Capable of analyzing & synthesizing complex data.
• Strong communication skills with cross functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Instrument and prepare vehicles/benchs for testing according to procedures.
• Understand and manage vehicle behavior and how changes affect performance.
• Maintain and calibrate dedicated equipment per schedules.
• Certify that vehicle and paperwork are prepared for testing.
• Advise product engineer on changes related to vehicle components or performance.
• Report and follow up on problems found during testing.

Job description

Resposible to instrument and prepare vehicles/benchs for testing and driving testing vehicles according to procedures.
Understand and manage vehicles behavoir and understand how any change on this can affect the full behavoir of the vehicle.
Responsible to comply with maintenance and calibration schedules for dedicated equipment.
Knowladge of acquisitions systems and data bases
Responsible to get appropriate financial and other approvals as required.
Certify that vehicle and paperwork is properly prepped to perform the required activities.
Advises the product engineer on required changes related to vehicle components or vehicle performance
Report and follow up on problems found during testing.
Preparation of vehicles and setup of electronic devices, such as computers and remote conections between car and electronic devices.
Continuous improvement for efficiency and clear documentation of testing procedures.

Fluent English
5 years of experience in the automotive industry
5 years of driving experience (cars and trucks)
Valid license to drive vehicles in Mexico or international driving license
Bachelor's Degree - Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electronic/Automotive Engineering.
