Job summary

Stellantisfinancialservices is seeking a skilled automotive test engineer to instrument and prepare vehicles for testing, ensuring proper setup of electronic devices and connection between car and devices. The role requires hands-on testing, data analysis, and clear documentation of procedures.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in automotive testing, fluent English, and a strong ability to work with cross-functional teams, manage multiple tasks, and learn quickly.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required.
• 5+ years in the automotive industry.
• 5 years driving experience (cars and trucks).
• Valid driving license in Mexico or international license.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electronic/Automotive Engineering.
• Capable of analyzing & synthesizing complex data.
• Able to manage multiple activities simultaneously and stay highly organized.
• Strong problem solving and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong communication with cross functional teams and management.
• Quick learner and thorough in assignments.

Responsibilities

• Instrument and prepare vehicles and benches for testing and driving tests per procedures.
• Understand vehicle behavior and how changes affect overall behavior.
• Maintain and calibrate dedicated equipment according to schedules.
• Know acquisition systems and databases.
• Obtain approvals as required and certify vehicle readiness and paperwork.
• Advise product engineers on changes related to components or performance.
• Report and follow up on problems found during testing.
• Prepare vehicles and set up electronic devices (computers, remote connections).
• Continuously improve testing procedures and document findings clearly.

Job description

Resposible to instrument and prepare vehicles/benchs for testing and driving testing vehicles according to procedures.
Understand and manage vehicles behavoir and understand how any change on this can affect the full behavoir of the vehicle.
Responsible to comply with maintenance and calibration schedules for dedicated equipment.
Knowladge of acquisitions systems and data bases
Responsible to get appropriate financial and other approvals as required.
Certify that vehicle and paperwork is properly prepped to perform the required activities.
Advises the product engineer on required changes related to vehicle components or vehicle performance
Report and follow up on problems found during testing.
Preparation of vehicles and setup of electronic devices, such as computers and remote conections between car and electronic devices.
Continuous improvement for efficiency and clear documentation of testing procedures.

Fluent English
5 years of experience in the automotive industry
5 years of driving experience (cars and trucks)
Valid license to drive vehicles in Mexico or international driving license
