Job summary

UpgradeEnergyPhilippines (UGEP), a leading renewable energy company in the Philippines, is seeking a proactive Procurement Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The role oversees procurement operations, supplier management, and cost control for solar projects.

You will lead, develop and mentor procurement staff, ensure timely and compliant purchases, and drive cost savings while supporting project schedules and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years in procurement or purchasing.
• 2+ years in supervisory or team leadership role.
• Experience in renewable energy, solar EPC, construction, electrical, or industrial sectors preferred.
• Experience sourcing imported equipment is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily procurement activities and supervise Procurement Officers and Purchasing Officers.
• Review purchase requests, purchase orders and supplier recommendations within delegated authority.
• Ensure timely procurement of solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, electrical materials, cables, BOS components, tools, PPE, and indirect materials.
• Monitor procurement schedules to support project timelines and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, Warehouse, Finance, and Logistics for forecast procurement requirements.
• Lead supplier negotiations to obtain best commercial and contractual terms.
• Maintain procurement records and supplier databases; ensure documentation for importation, warranties, certifications where applicable.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements to procurement workflows and ERP enhancements.
