Job summary

Merck Group in the Philippines is seeking a Data Analytics & Reporting specialist to own data acquisition, cleansing, and report development for procurement. You will source data from diverse tools and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver timely analyses.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, KPI definition, and audit support, with training in SAP/ERP systems and strong SQL/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Finance/Accounting or any business related course.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Procurement functions (Accounts Payable, Purchasing, T&E, VMD, etc.).
• Strong background with SAP or ERP systems such as Oracle and Ariba.
• Three or more years of experience mining data as a data analyst.
• Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization.
• Technical writing experience in queries, reports, and presentations.
• Strong SQL or Excel skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tool.
• Experience with database design and segmentation techniques.
• Strong programming experience with XML, JavaScript, and ETL.
• Statistical analysis with Excel, SPSS, and SAS.
• Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Your Role

• Data Analytics & Reporting - you will be responsible for data acquisition, cleansing, and report development. Your role includes ensuring timely delivery of Procurement reports and analyses within the group in a regular and promptly manner. You will source data from various tools and collaborate with different stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement - your role centers on supporting opportunities for enhanced processes, efficiencies, and quality within the organization. You will employ data analysis to drive improvement initiatives.
• Audit Support - You will be responsible for facilitating and coordinate ng audit activities within the organization, preparing documentation and evidence, and acting as a liaison between the audit team and internal stakeholders.
• KPI Reporting Specialist - Your responsibilities include defining and tracking relevant KPIs, ensuring data accuracy, creating clear and visually compelling reports, and delivering actionable insights to support informed decision-making. You play a critical role in providing a data-driven foundation for the organization, enabling it to monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive strategic goals with precision and clarity.
• Other Scope - Flexibility to adapt and potentially take on evolving responsibilities as the company undergoes a transitional phase, with opportunities for growth and development in the Data Analytics landscape.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Finance/Accounting or any business related course
• With minimum 2 years work experience in different Procurement functions as Accounts Payable, Purchasing, T&E, VMD, etc.
• Strong background and experience working with SAP or other ERP and ERP-related systems such as Oracle and Ariba
• Three or more years of experience mining data as a data analyst
• Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization
• Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
• Strong SQL or Excel skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tool
• Experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques
• Strong programming experience with frameworks, including XML, JavaScript, and ETL
• Practical experience in statistical analysis through the use of statistical packages, including Excel, SPSS, and SAS
• Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
