Job summary

Vestas Procurement Operations Management Office in Manila and Chennai seeks an experienced Indirect Buyer to execute non-catalogue POs, maintain SLA adherence, and collaborate with stakeholders across functions. You will drive efficiency in the procure-to-pay process and support the Accounts Payable team with invoice handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree holder.
• 3-5 years relevant experience in Buying/Procurement/Supply Chain.
• Working knowledge of SAP PE1 is required.
• Good understanding of SAP procurement reports.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• Fluency in French (written and verbal).
• Proficient in MS Excel & PowerPoint.
• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime when needed.
• Ability to understand technical and business concepts.

Responsibilities

• Create non/catalogue PO through SAP and other Vestas systems.
• Ensure POs comply with Procurement Policy and SLA.
• Process requests timely to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Business stakeholders to resolve issues with speed and quality.
• Modify, cancel, or close POs as required.
• Support Accounts Payable on invoice handling and resolve escalated invoices.
• Provide high-quality customer service to vendors, facilities, and teams.
• Decide on rejection of transactions for policy non-adherence with proper documentation.
• Test system enhancements to ensure no disruption to production.
• Report on open orders, supplier confirmations, and delivery dates.
• Provide support and cover for team members as necessary.

Job description

The Procurement department is designed to support the Vestas' Global Business and its End Customers. Our strategic objective is to build a competitive advantage for Vestas in the growing market and make it even more effective in the coming years. Given the dynamics of the market and our clear wish to claim leadership in that market, you will join an environment with high growth potential. As a member of the buying team, you will be responsible for executing operational buying activities in alignment with Vestas' Buying Policy and procedures, reaching performance targets, and maintaining good working relationships with stakeholders.

Procurement Transformation & Operations > Procurement Operations Management Office > Indirect Buying

Responsibilities

• Create non/catalogue PO thru SAP and use of other Vestas' systems
• Ensures POs are issued in accordance with Vestas' Procurement Policy Buying requirements
• Ensures timely, within accepted and agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA), and accurate processing of requests to maintain customer satisfaction
• Promptly engage and collaborate with Business stakeholders, to solve operational issues and problems related to Purchase Orders/Maintenance with speed and quality
• Modify/cancel/close PO
• Support Accounts Payable Team on invoice handling and promptly resolve escalated/exception invoices and ensure that invoices are resolved and processed accurately
• Provide high-quality customer service to all, including vendors, operating facilities, corporate headquarters, and SSC teammates and participates in calls as needed
• Decides on rejection of transactions for non-adherence to policies and adequate documentation, therefore deferring processing until the appropriate level of approval or proper documentation is obtained
• Performs testing for system enhancements or resolutions to ensure that updates/changes will not disrupt the production process once implemented
• Reporting to track open orders, supplier confirmations, and delivery dates to ensure communication of order and delivery status
• Provide support and cover for other team members as necessary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree holder
• You have at least 3-5 years relevant experience in Buying/Buyer - Process/Procurement/Supply Chain function
• A working knowledge of the production and procurement modules of SAP PE1 is required
• Good understanding of SAP procurement related MD (PIR, vendor master, quota arrangements and source lists) i an advantage
• Knowledgeable in SAP standard procurement reports
• Good English written and verbal communication skills and able to speak with conviction
• Fluency in French language (written and verbal)
• Good knowledge in MS Excel & Power point
• Flexibility to work in Shifts and occasional overtime when needed
• Able to understand technical and business techniques and knowledge
