Job summary

Steadfast Group Limited in Taguig is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Processing Assistant to support the Trust Account movements, invoicing, and data entry.

You will work with the Processing team in Sydney under the Broker Processing function, handling daily receipts, reconciliations, payments, drawings, and month-end close.

Open to fresh graduates with right attitude; 1-2 years preferred; strong MS Excel and English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a professional services/financial institution/insurance environment.
• Fresh graduates considered with willingness to learn and right attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high data volumes.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work with onshore counterparts and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Process daily client receipts and reconcile against policies and bank statements.
• Regularly reconcile trust account movements to system transactions.
• Make payments to insurers, authorized representatives, and issue client refunds.
• Process income and GST drawings and assist with month-end close for multiple brokers.
• Support audit evidence collection and handle ad-hoc queries as required.

About the role

This role is to support the Processing team in Sydney. Primary responsibility is to ensure that all movements in the Trust Account are accurately accounted for including but not limited to daily receipting, payments, drawings, etc. The role also includes data entry and processing of invoices for sending to clients.

Key responsibilities of the role

Efficient and timely delivery of broking/underwriting system processing

• Daily client receipt processing (via file uploads or individual manual payments) properly recording and matching them against policies in the system and bank statements.
• Daily reconciliation of trust account movements to system transactions.
• Regular payments to insurers, authorised representatives, and client refunds.
• Processing income and GST drawings.
• Month end close and report running process for multiple brokers.
• Assist in gathering evidence and support for broking system audit.
• Assist ad-hoc and/or general queries, as required.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/Documentation Ownership

• Ensures documentation requirements (e.g. checklists, templates, manuals/procedures, process maps, KPI’s, dashboards, etc.) of the end-to-end Broker Processing functions and all its related supporting functions are maintained/updated timely and reviewed on a periodic basis

Required experience/qualities

The successful candidate preferably may have a minimum 1-2 years’ experience gained in a professional services/financial institution/insurance environment. Previous experience in Accounts Receivable/Payable function in an insurance industry or in Client Servicing will be an advantage.

Open to consider ‘star’ fresh graduates, with the willingness to learn and the right attitude on repetitive tasks.

• High attention to detail and quality, fast learner and with the desire to understand business processes.

• Effectively work with a team and others to meet timelines, objectives and KPIs.

• Experience working with INSIGHT, Winbeat and other similar system will be an edge.
• Competent in Microsoft Office, at least intermediate MS Excel required.
• Able to execute sets of agreed processes to ensure efficient, timely and accurate information delivery.
