Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a Process Technician for the Pump area to support process line sustaining activities, perform evaluations and experiments, and investigate real-time process issues with proper escalation to engineers as needed.

The role requires a B.Sc. Electronics Engineering or equivalent technology background and at least 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor or electronics/optoelectronics industries. This position is 100% onsite in the Philippines.

Qualifications

• Experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Experience in engineering task execution, such as process investigation, evaluation, and documentation.
• Basic knowledge in SPC and process capability.
• Basic knowledge in assembly, packing, soldering, fiber optic, fiber alignment, burn in and testing process.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective team player and possess coordinating skills.
• Knowledge in MS Office, PPTX, Excel, Word, Visio, VB and programming.
• Basic knowledge in report generation, data gathering and data analysis and interpretation.
• Understand engineering discipline and methodology such as DOE, 7 QC Tools and Problem-solving techniques.

Responsibilities

• The Process Technician for the Pump area is responsible for the process line sustaining engineering activities that carried out the actual execution and leg works such as evaluation and experiment.
• This also include attending and investigating process issues in real time with proper escalation to engineers if necessary.
