Universal Robina Corporation Sugar and Renewables URSUMCO is seeking a Process Supervisor to oversee a production area, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. You will lead a team, implement SOPs, monitor metrics, and collaborate with maintenance, QA, and procurement to meet production goals.

The Process Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a specific area within the production process. This position is responsible for meeting production goals while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The Process Supervisor leads a team, collaborates with other departments, and drives continuous improvement to optimize production outcomes.
Production Area Management:
Supervise and oversee daily operations within the assigned production area, ensuring peak performance and efficiency.
Monitor production metrics, analyze performance data, and take corrective actions to maintain product quality and operational compliance.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures and best practices to improve production and ensure safe operations.
Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives to address production issues and improve processes.
Quality Control:
Ensure compliance with all quality protocols and regulatory requirements in production activities.
Conduct routine quality checks and audits, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure product consistency and quality.
Stay informed about industry regulations and standards to maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and legal requirements.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor a team of production operators, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.
Provide training, guidance, and support to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
Conduct performance evaluations and development plans for team members to drive continuous improvement.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols in all production operations.
Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Lead safety training sessions to promote a culture of safety excellence within the team.
Resource Management:
Manage the availability of raw materials, equipment, and tools needed for production.
Collaborate with Procurement, Planning, and Maintenance teams to ensure timely and cost-effective supply of resources.
Develop and manage budgets for the assigned production area, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
Use data analysis tools to assess production performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement optimization strategies.
Lead initiatives to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
Communication and Collaboration:
Maintain open communication with cross-functional teams, management, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.
Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and other departments on production-related projects and initiatives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Sugar Technology, or a related field.
Professional licensure preferred.
Proven experience in production supervision, ideally within industrial or manufacturing environments, especially in the food or beverage industry.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong understanding of production systems, including design, operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
Skilled in troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions to maintain operational integrity.
Regulatory Compliance:
In-depth knowledge of production regulations, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and legal requirements.
Experience in facilitating inspections, audits, and maintaining regulatory certifications.
Leadership and Management Skills:
Proven leadership capabilities to supervise and develop a team of production operators.
Experience in building a safety-conscious work culture and driving continuous improvement efforts.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities:
Strong analytical skills to assess production data, identify trends, and develop optimization strategies.
Expertise in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies for addressing production challenges.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, management, and external partners.
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to address operational challenges.
Continuous Improvement Mindset:
Commitment to driving continuous improvement in production processes, efficiency, and performance.
