Job summary

Therma Visayas, Inc. in Pasig seeks a Process Engineering Sr. Specialist to provide analytical and technical support to process engineering, operations and maintenance teams to maximize thermal efficiency, heat rate, plant life, environmental compliance, safety and reliability.

You will collaborate with internal power plant teams, contractors, and consultants to deliver results and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field).
• 4–6 years of process or performance improvement experience in power plants.
• Exposure to statistics, data science, or quantitative discipline; exposure to process simulation software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous monitoring, data evaluation, RCA troubleshooting to improve reliability.
• Analyze datasets and build Power BI dashboards; leverage OSIsoft PI, AVEVA PI/APM, ETAPro, and CFD tools.
• Formulate asset health and lifecycle management plans for plant assets.
• Support RPM program and report on combustion/heat transfer/emissions improvements.

As Process Engineering Sr. Specialist, you will provide analytical and technical support to process engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to maximize thermal efficiency, heat rate, plant life, environmental compliance, safety, and reliability. You will work closely with the Process Engineering Expert, internal power plant teams, contractors, and consultants to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

• Performing continuous monitoring, data evaluation, anomaly trend analysis, and root cause analysis (RCA) troubleshooting to resolve plant technical issues and improve reliability.
• Analyze operational datasets and build interactive Power BI dashboards, leverage industrial platforms (OSIsoft PI, AVEVA PI/APM, ETAPro, Ansys Fluent CFD), and support plant predictive models.
• Formulate and implement technical directives, asset health/performance monitoring frameworks, and lifecycle management plans for plant assets.
• Provide direct technical support to the Remote Performance Monitoring (RPM) program, assist in combustion/heat transfer/emissions improvements, and produce concise technical reports.

What You Will Need

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field).
• At least 4–6 years of experience in process or performance improvement in power plants.
• Qualifications or exposure to Statistics, Data Science, or a quantitative discipline, as well as exposure to process simulation software, is an added advantage.

Technical / Functional Skills

• Proficiency in industrial data platforms and tools, including OSIsoft PI, AVEVA PI System, AVEVA APM, ETAPro, Power BI, and CFD/boiler modeling tools.
• Strong foundational knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, asset management, and power plant technologies (including CFB and PC Boilers).
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data modeling techniques, and ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Advanced skills in standard office productivity software (spreadsheets, word processing, presentations).
