Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated is seeking a seasoned Process Engineer to join our growing team for a major greenfield manufacturing project in India. You will contribute to design, commissioning, startup, and long‑term operation alongside global engineering experts.

Responsibilities include leading process engineering activities, supporting FEED and detailed engineering, and driving safety and optimization initiatives across utilities and plant systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 8 years of experience in chemical, specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical, food & beverage or petrochemical industry.
• Experience in process engineering, process improvement, and manufacturing operations.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Hands on experience supporting greenfield or brownfield projects.
• Process Safety Management experience.
• Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project.

• Support Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed engineering for new manufacturing facilities.
• Develop utility systems and hydraulic calculations for boilers, water treatment, compressed air, and other plant utilities.
• Drive process control strategies, automation reviews, and factory acceptance testing activities.
• Lead commissioning, start‑up, troubleshooting, and process optimization initiatives.
• Support technology transfer projects and scale‑up activities.
• Champion process safety programs including PHA, MOC, PSSR, and incident investigations.
• Provide technical support for equipment evaluation, vendor selection, and capital project execution.
• Ensure engineering designs comply with Ingredion standards, safety requirements, and regulatory expectations.
