Job summary

Asticom Technology Inc. in Metro Manila seeks a Process Engineer to lead manufacturing fixture specification, equipment validation, and process-flow development for high-volume consumer electronics. You will drive NPI from design handoff through mass production ramp and work with Asia-based CM/ODM partners on-site during builds. A strong background in DFM and DOE is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering within a CM/ODM consumer electronics environment.
• Hands-on experience in NPI from design handoff through mass production ramp.
• Proficiency in DFM across precision assembly, sealing, adhesives, and injection moulding.
• Proven track record in leading specification, development, and validation of fixtures, equipment, and process flows.
• Experience collaborating with design teams early in HW lifecycle (pre-EVT/DVT/PVT).

Job Description:

We are seeking a Process Engineer to lead manufacturing fixture specification, equipment validation, and process flow development for high-volume consumer electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead NPI (New Product Introduction) from initial design handoff through mass production ramp.

• Drive DFM (Design for Manufacturability) across precision assembly, sealing, adhesives, and injection moulding.

• Specify, develop, and validate manufacturing fixtures, equipment, and process flows.

• Collaborate with hardware design teams during early lifecycle phases (pre-EVT/DVT/PVT).

• Execute yield analysis, process capability studies (Cpk), and Design of Experiments (DOE).

• Partner directly on-site with Asia-based CM/ODM manufacturing facilities during active builds.

Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).

• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering within a CM/ODM consumer electronics environment.

• Hands-on experience in NPI from design handoff through mass production ramp.

• Proficiency in DFM (precision assembly, sealing, adhesives, injection moulding).

• Proven track record in leading specification, development, and validation of manufacturing fixtures, equipment, and process flows.

• Experience collaborating with design teams early in the HW lifecycle (pre-EVT/DVT/PVT).

• Working knowledge of yield analysis, process capability studies (Cpk), and DOE.

• Familiarity with CM/ODM factory environments in Asia (preferably Foxconn, Pegatron, Wistron, Samsung, or equivalent).

• Ability to travel to Asia-based manufacturing partners and be on-site during builds.

Good To Have:

• Master's Degree in Mechanical, Controls, or Mechatronics Engineering.

• Apple iPhone or Samsung Galaxy program experience.

• Proficiency in NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks CAD tools.

• Experience with GRR (Gauge R&R), tolerance stack-up / stack analysis, metal fabrication, CNC machining, precision finishing, leak testing, ultrasonic welding, and laser welding processes.

• Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or above).

• Multilingual skills (Mandarin or Vietnamese) for CM partner collaboration.
