Asaba Manufacturing Phils., Inc is seeking a Process Engineer to analyze, improve, and optimize manufacturing processes for productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. You will monitor lines, study data, and lead continuous improvement projects with cross-functional teams.
The role requires experience on the shop floor, proficiency in Excel, and strong problem-solving skills to achieve production targets and sustain best practices on the line.
The Process Engineer is responsible for analyzing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. The role involves process monitoring, data analysis, line balancing, root-cause analysis, continuous improvement, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production and achievement of operational targets.
Monitor and analyze production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with established standards.
Conduct process studies and data analysis to identify opportunities for productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Analyze cycle time, downtime, yield, and production performance and recommend appropriate improvements.
Conduct line balancing and capacity analysis to optimize manpower, equipment, and production flow.
Identify process problems and perform root cause analysis using tools such as Why-Why Analysis and Fishbone Diagram.
Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address process and production issues.
Lead and participate in Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement projects.
Develop, review, and maintain Standard Work Instructions, process documentation, and related engineering reports.
Monitor process quality using basic SPC and FMEA principles and coordinate necessary improvements.
Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Production teams to resolve process-related issues.
Support new product, process, and equipment trials and evaluate process performance.
Prepare production reports, dashboards, and presentations using MS Excel and other reporting tools.
Ensure implementation of approved process improvements and monitor their effectiveness.
Provide technical support to production personnel and assist in meeting production targets and deadlines.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, quality, and operational efficiency on the shop floor.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field.
With experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment.
Hands-on experience in shop floor operations and process control.
Knowledge of productivity improvement, line balancing, and cost reduction.
Experience with Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S initiatives.
Knowledge of Why-Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, and PDCA problem-solving tools.
Familiar with SPC, FMEA, and Standard Work documentation.
Ability to analyze production data, cycle time, downtime, and yield.
Proficient in MS Excel and basic reporting/dashboard preparation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
Able to work effectively with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Production teams.
Able to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
Proficient in English and Filipino communication.
