Job summary

New World Rubber Corporation (NWR) is a motorcycle tire manufacturer serving the local market under Sapphire Tire and Power Tire brands. We are looking for a Process Engineer who can convert recurring production problems into measurable improvements in product quality, process stability, and plant performance.

This onsite position in Carmona, Cavite requires hands-on root-cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions, and close collaboration with Production, QA/QC, Engineering,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• ≥3 years of relevant experience in process engineering, production engineering, manufacturing, or quality/process improvement.
• Experience in tire, rubber, automotive, or high-volume manufacturing is an advantage.
• Knowledge of structured problem solving, process improvement, basic statistics, and data analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and technical report preparation.
• Strong shop-floor communication, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Willing and able to work onsite in Carmona, Cavite.

Responsibilities

• Investigate rejected and nonconforming tires from the production line.
• Conduct root-cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Analysis, Pareto Analysis, process mapping, and production data review.
• Recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
• Identify process variation, bottlenecks, scrap, rework, downtime, and other sources of production loss.
• Support controlled process trials and verify their results.
• Improve work instructions, process controls, standard work, and visual controls.
• Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Engineering & Maintenance, PPIC, and other process owners.
• Track improvements using measurable results such as reject rate, scrap, rework, yield, cycle time, and downtime.
• Prepare clear technical reports and present evidence-based recommendations to management.

This is an onsite position in Carmona, Cavite. Applicants must be able to reliably commute to the plant and report onsite as scheduled.
