Sumitomo Electric Group in Laguna, Philippines is seeking a Process Improvement/Quality role to optimize production lines, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency in electronics manufacturing. The ideal candidate has BS Engineering and hands-on experience in SPC data analysis.

Experience with root cause analysis, FMEA, and statistical methods is a plus, and the role may involve shifting schedules to align with manufacturing demands.

Formación

• Graduate of BS Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in Electronics/FPC manufacturing is preferred.
• Advantage if has background in root cause analysis, FMEA, statistical analysis, and other problem solving tools.
• Willing to work on shifting schedule.

Responsabilidades

• Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Analyzes production data (using SPC) to identify bottlenecks and reduce waste in assembly lines.
• Troubleshooting & Quality Control: Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and product defects to meet quality specs.
• Documentation & Standardization: Develops SOPs, process instructions, and safety documentation.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Works with production, quality, and design teams to ensure seamless production flow.

Core Functions and Responsibilities:

• Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Analyzes production data (using SPC) to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency in assembly lines like SMT (Surface Mount Technology).
• Troubleshooting & Quality Control: Acts quickly to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions or product defects, ensuring finished products meet strict quality specifications.
• Documentation & Standardization: Develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs), process instructions, and safety documentation.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Works with production, quality, and design teams to ensure seamless production flow.

Key Focus Areas:

• Yield Enhancement: Improving the ratio of passing units to total units produced.
• Cost Reduction: Minimizing downtime and material waste.
• Lean Manufacturing: Implementing lean techniques to improve workflow efficiency.
