Job summary

F2 Finance in Santa Monica seeks an in‑office Underwriting Support professional to manage loan files end to end, from intake to closing, and support the credit lead with initial summaries. 2–4 years in private lending or mortgage operations strongly preferred; Bachelor's degree preferred.

You will work in a fast, collaborative team using Google Sheets, loan origination systems, Notion and ATLAS, with an emphasis on accuracy, speed, and professional communication with brokers and borrowers.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in private lending, hard money, residential bridge lending, mortgage operations, loan processing, or real estate finance.
• Direct experience closing loans is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• File processing and closing coordination: manage loan file from intake through closing, build the credit package, track conditions, and drive items to completion.
• Underwriting support: spread borrower financials, prepare initial credit summaries, and run preliminary checks on values and exit assumptions.
• Portfolio and operational support: update loan tape, assist with extensions/payoffs, and identify process improvements.
• What good looks like: timely closings, clean documentation, and professional communication with brokers and borrowers.
