About the Role
Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Real Estate Analyst to work remotely and fill a critical role as part of our growing private lending platform. This position supports both loan underwriting and business development efforts and is designed for a highly motivated professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and takes pride in producing accurate, thoughtful work.
We are looking for someone with 3 to 5+ years of real estate analysis, underwriting, lending, or principal‑side investment experience who can operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and contribute meaningfully across a fully integrated hard money lending platform. This is a senior‑level role with direct exposure to live transactions, senior decision‑makers, and the full real estate loan lifecycle. Experience in real estate debt or credit analysis is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Loan Underwriting and Credit Analysis
- Perform detailed underwriting of bridge loans, construction loans, and value‑add real estate transactions.
- Analyze borrower financial statements, rent rolls, operating statements, and global cash flow.
- Review appraisals, broker opinions of value, construction budgets, and third‑party reports.
- Calculate and assess LTV, CLTV, DSCR, exit strategies, and downside risk.
- Prepare clear and concise underwriting summaries and internal credit memoranda.
- Assist with post‑closing asset monitoring, extensions, modifications, and payoff analysis.
Business Development and Deal Support
- Support inbound deal screening and preliminary feasibility reviews.
- Assist senior team members with borrower and broker follow‑up and data requests.
- Conduct market research, comparable sales analysis, and submarket overviews.
- Help maintain accurate and organized deal pipeline data within Salesforce CRM.
- Assist with investor‑facing deal narratives and internal reporting as needed.
Platform and Process Support
- Operate within a fully integrated hard money lending platform including CRM, underwriting models, and servicing systems.
- Coordinate across origination, underwriting, asset management, and investor relations teams.
- Maintain organized digital files and documentation throughout the loan lifecycle.
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to existing processes.
- Use SDCs proprietary technology and workflows to support a high‑quality borrower and investor experience.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in real estate, lending, underwriting, investment analysis, or a related field.
- Willingness and ability to work consistent US business hours (Pacific Time).
- Strong understanding of real estate fundamentals including valuation, cash flow analysis, and loan structures.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a high standard for accuracy and completeness.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Ability to manage multiple deals and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for financial analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working remotely with a US‑based team preferred.
- Experience in private lending, hard money lending, bridge loans, or construction lending.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Experience supporting business development or transaction teams.
- Exposure to US real estate markets.
