Job summary

Pear Tree is seeking a Credit Analyst / Credit Manager specializing in private lending. This remote role follows Australian hours and covers the full lending cycle from initial assessment to settlement, delivering high-quality credit submissions.

You'll review financial statements, valuations, and borrower backgrounds while collaborating with brokers, solicitors, and valuers. The position includes policy development and portfolio monitoring, with exposure to diverse deal flow and senior

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Australian lending or credit assessment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions.

Responsibilities

• Assess residential, commercial and business-purpose loan applications
• Prepare and package detailed credit submissions
• Review financial statements, tax returns, bank statements and supporting documents
• Analyse servicing, security, exit strategies and overall transaction risk
• Review valuations, company searches, trust structures and borrower background information
• Liaise with brokers, borrowers, solicitors, valuers and other stakeholders
• Assist with transaction management from application through to settlement; work with administration team
• Support ongoing portfolio monitoring and reporting
• Assist with developing and improving internal credit policies and procedures
