Job summary

V2 Solutions is seeking a Private Cloud Engineer to join the IT team. You will manage day-to-day administration, maintenance and support of the private cloud, ensuring uptime, performance and security.

Strong skills in virtualization, scripting, and automation are essential to succeed in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities include provisioning VMs, storage and network components; troubleshooting performance and security issues; planning infrastructure changes; backups and DR planning;

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of VMware virtualization and managing VMs, virtual switches and networks.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.
• Experience with ESXi and vCenter Server installation, configuration and performance troubleshooting.
• Experience with OneView Tool for hardware profiles and management.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for private cloud infrastructure including VMs, storage, and networks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex private cloud issues related to performance and security.
• Plan and implement infra changes ensuring flawless execution.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates of private cloud systems.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting/automation tools.
• Assist in backups and disaster recovery planning.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate cloud systems with other IT components.
• Document private cloud infrastructure and best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
• Provide technical support to internal and external clients.
