Job summary
Outsourcey is seeking a skilled Power Systems Engineer to support electrical engineering projects across generation, HV transmission, and renewable energy systems. You will deliver technical solutions, conduct studies, and ensure designs align with client requirements.
The role involves modelling with PSS/E/PSCAD/PowerFactory/Hypersim, HV grid connections, substation design, and providing technical guidance across projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical engineering.
- Strong experience with power system analysis tools including PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory and/or Hypersim.
Responsibilities
- Perform power system studies and modelling using tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and Hypersim.
- Support HV grid connection, substation design, generation, transmission, and distribution projects.
- Develop technical solutions, engineering designs, reports, and project documentation.
- Conduct site inspections, provide technical advice, and support project delivery activities.
- Review designs to ensure compliance with Australian Standards, regulations, and client specifications.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, cost-effective engineering solutions, and technical coordination.
- Provide technical support and guidance to engineering teams and project stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, quality processes, and engineering best practices.
