Job summary

KDCI Outsourcing is seeking an experienced Power Systems Engineer to provide technical and consulting support for electrical engineering projects, primarily across generation, high-voltage transmission, distribution, and grid connection projects.

The role involves performing power system studies using PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and Hypersim, developing engineering solutions, supporting project delivery, and ensuring designs comply with relevant Australian standards, statutory requirements, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years in electrical engineering.
Hands-on experience with PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and Hypersim for RMS/EMT modelling.
Familiarity with Australian Standards, statutory requirements and client specs.

Responsibilities

Perform and direct power system studies using modelling tools.
Manage HV grid connections, substation, and generating plant power systems tasks.
Provide technical reports and site inspections where needed.
Support planning and scheduling within the Electrical Engineering Team.
Develop cost-effective engineering solutions meeting requirements.
Review designs for compliance with standards and client specs.
Contribute to continuous improvement and QMS compliance.
