Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer in our global Energy & Power practice. You will lead the design and delivery of complex power generation projects, including simple cycle and combined cycle plants, and serve as the technical authority for power systems and electrical equipment.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams across concept to detailed engineering, ensuring compliance with NEC/IEEE/IEC standards and delivering high-quality electrical deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience leading design of simple cycle and/or combined cycle power plants.
• Experience through concept, FEED, and detailed engineering phases.
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, IEC and other international standards.
• Experience performing power system studies with ETAP or SKM.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and delivery of power generation projects.
• Act as technical authority for power systems and substation design.
• Develop electrical specifications for switchgear, transformers, motors, and cables.
• Oversee SLDs, protection philosophies, wiring diagrams and layouts.
• Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence across the electrical discipline.
