Job summary

Advanced Energy seeks a Product Engineer to bridge design engineering and manufacturing, ensuring PSU products meet performance, quality, and delivery standards from development through production. Reports to the Product Engineering Manager.

The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing existing power supply designs, performing characterization, calibration, testing, and root cause analysis to improve reliability and performance across products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in power electronics incl. converter topologies and AC/DC circuitry.
• Proven track record in hardware engineering or related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience in power supply design, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory compliance for power supply testing.

Responsibilities

• Characterize PSU performance across operating conditions.
• Calibrate and support test engineering and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for power supplies.
• Collaborate with design engineers to improve reliability and performance.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and customers.
• Perform hardware testing, data collection, and analysis.
• Document test results and conclusions in reports.
• Evaluate alternative components and manage change requests.
