Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a Power BI Developer to drive data-enabled decision-making across the Center of Excellence. You will develop reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs that track value realization and portfolio performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, analytics, CS, engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years in Power BI development or BI roles.
• Proficient in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and semantic modeling.
• Knowledge of KPI frameworks and value measurement.
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

The role will support in driving data-enabled decision-making. This role is responsible for developing Power BI reports, performance dashboards, and analytical insights that support value realization tracking, portfolio performance monitoring, and continuous improvement. A key part of this position is establishing reporting standards, creating guidelines, and sharing best practices with other functions. The role ensures consistent, high-quality data visualization and performance measurement approaches across the Center of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Monitoring & Value Realization

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards for value realization tracking, performance measurement, and KPI monitoring.
• Collaborate with teams to collect requirements and translate them into structured analytical outputs.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and standardization of performance data used across CoE reporting.
• Support development of frameworks and metrics to evaluate digital initiatives and measure value outcomes.

Power BI Development & Data Management

• Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot Power BI reports, semantic models, data models, dataflows, and Microsoft Fabric data assets.
• Support the integration, management, and optimization of data within Microsoft Fabric, including Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and OneLake environments where applicable.
• Perform data cleaning, transformation, modeling, and validation using Power Query and DAX.
• Ensure alignment with organizational data governance guidelines and secure data handling.

Microsoft Fabric & Data Platform

• Support the adoption and utilization of Microsoft Fabric capabilities to enhance reporting, analytics, and data accessibility across Group Digital.
• Contribute to the design and maintenance of data solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric components such as OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Direct Lake.
• Support the development of reusable data assets and semantic models to enable self-service reporting and standardized analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving data architecture, performance, and reporting efficiency.

CoE Standards, Guidelines & Best Practices

• Draft reporting guidelines, dashboard standards, visualization best practices, and documentation for internal users.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, learning materials, and hands-on demos for delivery teams.
• Promote consistency and adoption of CoE-approved analytics and reporting practices across functions.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with function teams to align reporting requirements and methodologies.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand needs and provide insights.
• Support CoE in identifying reporting improvement opportunities and streamlining analytical processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Power BI development, business intelligence, data analysis, or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling, visualization best practices, and exposure to Microsoft Fabric capabilities.
• Solid understanding of KPI frameworks, performance reporting, and value measurement concepts.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate business questions into data-driven insights.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of working with multicultural and cross-regional teams in an effective and timely manner.
• Strong ownership and proactive deadline management to drive task completion.
