Job summary

mr-diy-philippines is seeking a cashier with a background in cashiering and POS experience to join our on-site team in the Philippines. The role focuses on accurate payments, receipts, and maintaining an orderly checkout area.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year in a similar role, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or any 4-year course.
• Background in cashiering with POS experience is preferred.
• Ability to provide quality customer service.
• Trustworthy, detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar industry.
• Average communication and people skills.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic math functions to collect payments and make change.
• Operate registers, scanners, scales and credit card/debit card terminals.
• Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales.
• Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and providing a receipt to every customer.
• Handle exchanges and refunds in a quick, efficient manner.
• Maintain accurate cash drawer.
• Keep the checkout area clean and orderly.
