Job summary

Asian Terminals Incorporated (ATI) is seeking a Civil Engineer to maintain ground and building civil works at Manila South Harbor. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and safety compliance to keep facilities in optimal condition.

You will coordinate with various units, prepare design plans, cost estimates, and AutoCAD drawings, and oversee maintenance programs to ensure timely project execution in a busy port environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Experience in port operations projects or similar heavy industry
• Driver's license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily activities on repair, maintenance and construction projects for compliance with plans, codes and best practices
• Prepare and submit monthly/annual reports on facilities repair and maintenance progress
• Coordinate requests and schedules with business units for repairs and construction
• Prepare design plans and cost estimates for maintenance projects and seek approvals
• Conduct pre-bid meetings, evaluate quotations and endorse project awards
• Produce and maintain AutoCAD drawings of facility plans
• Oversee subordinates to ensure maintenance programs run efficiently
• Inspect equipment and PPE and ensure safety and proper storage
• Prepare cost estimates for budget planning
• Review changes in work procedures with Engineering Analyst
• Attend meetings to discuss progress, safety and environmental issues
• Submit safety observations and ensure 5S compliance
• Conduct toolbox talks on safety practices
