Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a QA Automation Engineer in Manila to develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright, ensure test coverage, and report status. You will collaborate with QA and BA teams to create robust automation scripts and enhance the automation framework.

The role emphasizes implementing reliable test scripts, executing both automated and manual tests, and contributing to regression and UAT activities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience applying STLC and test automation practices.
• Ability to create automation scripts with Playwright.
• Review requirements and identify automation needs.
• Develop and maintain Playwright automation frameworks.
• Automate functional, SIT, and regression tests.
• Execute automated and manual tests and participate in UAT.

Basic Function

Develops and maintains automated test cases using Playwright, prepares the Requirement Traceability Matrix, executes functional and automated tests, tracks defects, and provides test status and reports. The role is responsible for building reliable and maintainable automation scripts to improve test coverage and efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of STLC processes, software testing methodologies, and test automation practices.

• Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, and other project documents to identify automation and testing requirements.

• Create test scenarios, test cases, and automation scripts using Playwright in collaboration with the QA Team and Business Analysts.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Playwright automation frameworks and reusable test scripts.

• Automate functional, SIT, and regression test cases using Playwright.

• Execute automated and manual test cases and participate in UAT activities.

• Create and maintain reliable test scripts with proper assertions, test data, locators, and synchronization techniques.
