About the role
We are seeking a Plant Finance Supervisor to join our finance team at our Santo Tomas City facility in Batangas. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations and strategic objectives of our manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for overseeing financial accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing financial insights to support plant management decision-making. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong accounting knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Supervise and manage daily accounting and financial reporting activities for the plant, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Prepare and reconcile financial statements, general ledger accounts and trial balances on a monthly basis
Monitor plant expenditures and assist in budget preparation, variance analysis and cost control initiatives
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing and collection follow-up
Conduct plant inventory reconciliations and support asset management activities
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, company financial policies and internal controls
Provide financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making and strategic planning
Coordinate with regional finance teams and external auditors during audit activities
Train and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in financial operations
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
5-7 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create and analyse financial reports
Excellent attention to detail with strong numeracy skills and accuracy in financial computations
Experience in cost accounting, budget management and variance analysis
Knowledge of inventory accounting and fixed asset management
Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and develop a team
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Filipino
Familiarity with Philippine tax regulations and accounting requirements
Ability to work independently, prioritise multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
Professional accounting certification (CPA or equivalent) is preferred
