Job summary

Our Clients is seeking a Plant Engineering Manager to oversee engineering activities and plant-level technical operations in a manufacturing setting. The role requires hands-on leadership across engineering and manufacturing processes.

The candidate should have strong experience in plant operations, GMP, EHS, and sustainability initiatives, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement at the site level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong plant engineering/operations experience in manufacturing.
• Experience overseeing engineering activities at the whole-plant level, not just a function.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and day-to-day plant operations.
• GMP experience is required.
• Exposure to EHS requirements and practices.
• ESG or sustainability exposure is advantageous.
• Strong leadership and coordination across teams.

The Plant Engineering Manager will oversee engineering activities and plant-level technical operations within a manufacturing environment. The role requires strong hands-on exposure to plant operations, engineering systems, manufacturing processes, and EHS requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee plant engineering activities and ensure reliable, safe, and efficient plant operations.
• Provide hands-on leadership across engineering and technical requirements within the manufacturing facility.
• Work closely with plant operations and other functions to support manufacturing processes and business requirements.
• Ensure engineering activities are aligned with plant safety, quality, compliance, and operational standards.
• Support EHS initiatives and maintain compliance with applicable plant requirements.
• Contribute to ESG-related initiatives and sustainability programs where relevant.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability, efficiency, and overall operational performance.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address plant-level engineering and operational concerns.
• Provide technical input and recommendations to plant leadership and senior management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across plant engineering and manufacturing operations.
• Travel to Thailand as needed for business and operational requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong experience in plant engineering and/or plant operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing engineering activities at the overall plant level, rather than being limited to a single engineering function.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and day-to-day plant operations.
• Experience in an FMCG or large-scale manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• GMP experience is required.
• Exposure to EHS requirements and practices.
• ESG or sustainability exposure is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Must be comfortable working closely with plant teams and being present at the ground level, rather than operating purely from a corporate or strategic capacity.
