Job summary

AboitizPower in the Philippines is seeking a Plant Engineer to support daily PV plant operations, coordinate maintenance activities, and oversee O&M contractors to ensure safe, reliable power delivery and alignment with the project schedules.

You will collaborate with the Grid Supervisor, OEMs, EPC/OMC contractors and internal support teams, deliver timely operational reports, uphold IMS and safety policies, and drive continuous improvement while protecting critical plant records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• At least three (3) years of related professional work experience in maintaining a power plant facility.
• Licensed Electrical Engineer is required; leadership/project experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily Operations & Task Management: Perform daily operation and task management functions delegated by the Grid Supervisor, including customer liaison, technical coordination, assisting in PV plant initiation, O&M planning, and day-to-day oversight of Operation and Maintenance Contractors (OMCs).
• Operations & Maintenance Control: Control, monitor, and report PV plant operations, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance against schedule and plan.
• Quality & Scope Compliance: Manage O&M activities and OMC operations to ensure full compliance with the Scope of Work (SOW), quality objectives, safety regulations, and engineering discipline criteria.
• Stakeholder Coordination & Technical Review: Coordinate technical reviews internally and with stakeholders, maintaining effective communication with internal support teams, regulatory bodies, operations staff, OEMs, and third parties.
• Reporting & Information Security: Deliver accurate and timely operational reports to management and clients, while strictly adhering to company safety policies, IMS standards, and information protection guidelines for plant records.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:

• Demonstrates solid technical expertise in power plant facility maintenance and solar PV O&M with a strict commitment to safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives
• Exhibits strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities to coordinate seamlessly across internal support teams, regulatory bodies, OEMs, and EPC/OMC contractors
• Displays excellent analytical and tracking capabilities to monitor operational performance metrics, execute technical reviews, and deliver clear reports to management and clients
• Upholds high standards of integrity, policy compliance, Integrated Management System (IMS) adherence, and confidentiality of operational plant records

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: At least three (3) years of related professional work experience in maintaining a power plant facility.
• Leadership & Project Experience: 1 year of leadership experience and/or 1 year of project experience is considered a plus.
• Plus Factors: Proven experience in Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Farms, Power Plant O&M, and Construction or PMC; familiarity with EPC contracts and construction management of large power plant infrastructure; and knowledge in contract management.
• License: Must be a Licensed Electrical Engineer.

Technical / Functional Skills:

• Deep proficiency in solar PV power plant operation and maintenance execution, preventive and corrective maintenance tracking, and operational performance reporting.
• Strong functional capabilities in technical review coordination, contractor/OMC supervision, EPC contract and construction management, and Integrated Management System (IMS) compliance.
