Job summary

Recruitify_HR is seeking a Finance Controller to drive plant-level financial strategy, cost accounting, and cash flow management. The role acts as a strategic business partner between shop-floor production and executive finance to minimize waste, optimize product costing, and drive profitability.

The position requires a CPA or MBA, 10+ years in finance with 5+ years as Plant Controller or similar in FMCG, and strong GAAP and ERP skills (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years as Plant Controller or similar in FMCG.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and food manufacturing costing concepts.
• Advanced Excel proficiency; hands-on ERP experience with SAP, Oracle or MS Dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Manage standard costing, BOM, and routing accuracy to determine true product costs and monitor variances.
• Oversee inventory control, cycle counts, and valuation to minimize spoilage and optimize stock rotation.
• Lead plant-level month-end and year-end close, including accruals, depreciation, and reconciliations.
• Prepare dashboards tracking KPIs such as OEE and production line profitability.
• Establish and enforce internal control policies ensuring GAAP compliance and asset protection.
• Direct budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing and overheads; evaluate Capex and post-completion audits.
• Collaborate with Procurement on supplier relationships and cost-effective sourcing.
• Lead and mentor the plant accounting and cost controlling team; liaison to Plant Managers, Supply Chain, HR.

Role Overview: The Finance Controller drives plant-level financial strategy, cost accounting, and cash flow management. Acting as a strategic business partner, this role bridges shop-floor production and executive finance to minimize waste, optimize product costing, and drive long-term profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage standard costing, BOM, and routing accuracy to determine true product costs; monitor production variances and drive corrective actions with plant managers.
• Oversee inventory control, cycle counts, and valuation to mitigate spoilage and ensure optimal stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO).
• Lead plant-level month-end and year-end close, including accruals, depreciation, and reconciliations.
• Prepare executive dashboards tracking KPIs such as OEE and production line profitability.
• Establish and enforce internal control policies ensuring GAAP compliance and asset protection.
• Direct budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing and operational overheads; evaluate Capex and conduct post-completion audits.
• Collaborate with Procurement on supplier relationships and cost-effective sourcing.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the plant accounting and cost controlling team; serve as primary financial liaison to Plant Managers, Supply Chain, and HR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA highly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years as Plant Controller or similar role within FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong knowledge of food manufacturing concepts (yield variance, waste management, shelf-life costing).
• Advanced Excel proficiency and hands-on experience with major ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
