The Planning Engineer supports project delivery by building and maintaining execution schedules and lookahead plans, monitoring progress versus targets, and producing reliable project control reports. The role maintains cost tracking templates, VO/CO logs, and a consistent billing pack structure to ensure timely, complete, and audit-ready billing submissions.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain baseline schedules, milestones, and progress measurement methods
• Prepare rolling lookahead schedules and coordinate weekly work planning inputs
• Monitor site progress vs baseline and issue variance analysis and schedule forecasts
• Maintain cost tracking templates for commitments, actuals, and forecast reporting
• Maintain VO/CO logs with complete supporting documents and status tracking
• Enforce billing pack structure, checklists, and document completeness standards
• Compile progress billing packages with clear computations and supporting evidence
• Provide project control updates and escalate schedule/cost risks with recovery options

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering course (license is an advantage)
• Minimum 2 years experience in planning/scheduling or project controls in construction
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project; strong MS Excel skills
• Knowledge of lookahead planning, progress reporting, and baseline control
• Familiarity with VO/CO documentation and billing support requirements
• Strong documentation, organization, and coordination skills
• Comfortable working with structured systems and document control tools (e.g., Odoo/SharePoint or similar)
