Job summary

R-II Builders Inc. invites applicants for the role of Planner/Scheduler to join our construction team in Metro Manila. The position is full-time and based on-site in Tondo, Manila City, with responsibilities spanning from schedule development to procurement coordination.

The ideal candidate has a 3–5 year track record in construction planning, strong proficiency in MS Project and Primavera P6, and a solid understanding of project lifecycles and drawings. PMI-CP/DBIA credentials are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in construction planning and scheduling roles.
• Advanced proficiency in scheduling software, particularly Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or similar industry-standard tools.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building processes and project lifecycle management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify scheduling conflicts and propose practical solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple concurrent projects and prioritising competing demands.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex scheduling information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and schedule maintenance.
• Knowledge of construction contracts and conditions of contract relating to time and scheduling.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline (preferred).
• Professional certification such as PMI-CP, DBIA or similar construction planning credentials (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning software and methodologies, mapping out construction phases with realistic timelines.
• Monitor and update project schedules regularly, identify delays and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate scheduling activities with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers for alignment and resources.
• Analyse critical path activities and prepare schedule forecasts for milestones and bottlenecks.
• Prepare progress reports and schedule performance metrics for management and clients.
• Manage resource allocation across projects to optimize labour, equipment, and material usage.
• Conduct schedule reviews and meetings to resolve conflicts and implement improvements.
• Maintain baseline schedules, changes, and schedule justifications with proper documentation.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Support senior planners in developing strategic planning frameworks for new projects.
