Optum is seeking a PHRN Coder Supervisor in the Philippines to lead a team of PH RNs and coders, ensuring compliant and timely medical record coding.

The role oversees daily operations, productivity, quality, and client deliverables, with focus on staff development and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of supervisory or people leadership experience in medical coding or healthcare operations.
• Active PHRN License and Medical Coding License (AAPC or AHIMA).
• Strong Clinical Knowledge base with a minimum of 3 years of Critical Care bedside experience in a tertiary hospital (local/overseas).
• At least 2 years of Medical Coding experience.
• Willing to work on a hybrid set-up in Makati, Alabang, or Quezon City.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of PH RN's and Medical Coders to ensure accurate, timely coding of medical records and documentation.
• Oversee daily operations, productivity, quality performance, and client deliverables.
• Develop employees and ensure adherence to coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.

The PHRN Coder Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a team of Philippine Registered Nurses (PHRNs) and Medical Coders to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely coding of medical records and healthcare documentation. This role oversees daily operations, productivity, quality performance, client deliverables, and employee development while ensuring adherence to coding guidelines, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 2 years of supervisory or people leadership experience in medical coding, healthcare operations, or a related healthcare services environment.
• Active PHRN License and Medical Coding License (AAPC or AHIMA)
• Strong Clinical Knowledge base with a minimum of 3 years of Critical Care bedside experience in a tertiary hospital (local/overseas), (areas: ICU, Critical Care Unit, Telemetry, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, Medical Intensive Care Unit, ER, Medical Surgical)
• At least 2 years of Medical Coding experience
• Willing to work on a hybrid set-up in any of our sites (Makati, Alabang, Quezon City)
