Job summary

Maxicare Health Care is seeking a Phlebotomy Team Leader to oversee daily phlebotomy operations across our clinics. You will lead a team, schedule staff, monitor performance, and enforce DOH, ISO, and JCI standards to ensure safe, accurate patient care.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or related field, 3–5 years phlebotomy experience, and 1–2 years supervisory experience. PRC licensure and leadership training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Nursing, or related health field.
• 3–5 years of phlebotomy or clinical lab experience.
• 1–2 years supervisory or administrative experience.
• Strong knowledge of specimen collection, handling, laboratory quality systems, and infection control.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and documentation systems.
• PRC license as a Medical Technologist (preferred).
• Training in leadership or healthcare management (preferred).
• ISO 15189, quality management, or phlebotomy training (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead daily phlebotomy operations and manage staff schedules, attendance, and deployment.
• Monitor team performance, service turnaround time, blood draw success rates, and specimen rejection rates.
• Coach and develop team members through performance reviews, training, and competency assessments.
• Ensure compliance with DOH regulations, ISO standards, JCI requirements, and infection control protocols.
• Oversee inventory, supplies, equipment maintenance, and calibration documentation.
• Investigate specimen-related incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare regular performance, quality, safety, and operational reports.
• Collaborate with laboratory leadership and cross-functional teams to improve service quality and patient experience.
