Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking a Safety Lead to drive operational improvements in occupational safety across Philippine construction sites. The role emphasizes OSHA compliance, investigations, risk management, and continuous improvement of safety processes.

You will establish controls to support operations during periods of change and growth. You will lead safety programs, perform thorough investigations, develop metrics, and train employees on standards and best practices,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• OSHA 30 Hour Construction Certification required.
• Minimum of 4 years of safety management experience in construction or austere environments.
• Certified Safety Manager credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead occupational safety programs and ensure adherence to OSHA standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct safety investigations and provide detailed reports and recommendations.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate hazards.
• Maintain and monitor safety programs and documentation across Philippine construction sites.
• Promote a culture of safety and provide training on standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into operations.
