The Pharmacy Associate supports the Pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing, and management of medications and supplies. This role ensures that pharmacy operations run efficiently, maintains accurate inventory, and provides excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff.
Assist the Pharmacist in dispensing and preparing prescribed medications accurately and efficiently.
Receive, process, and label prescriptions in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Maintain and update patient medication records and pharmacy files.
Ensure the proper storage, organization, and handling of drugs and pharmaceutical supplies.
Monitor stock levels, assist in inventory management, and prepare requisitions for replenishment.
Perform clerical and administrative duties such as encoding, filing, and record-keeping.
Provide information and assistance to patients in a courteous and professional manner.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the pharmacy area.
Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Operates the medicine machine
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Pharmacist or immediate supervisor.
Graduate of a Pharmacy Assistant/Pharmacy Technician course or any related field.
NCIII Pharmacy Assistant holder
Preferably with experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting.
Knowledgeable in pharmaceutical products, dosage forms, and inventory procedures.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling prescriptions.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Customer-oriented, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
