Job summary

Snapscale is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant with pharmaceutical experience to support a US-based healthcare practice. The role focuses on patient chart preparation, prescription refill coordination, and medical documentation within HIPAA-compliant processes.

The candidate will manage EMR/EHR systems, assist with chart reviews, and ensure timely completion of medical orders while collaborating closely with clinical staff in an onsite setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or pharmacy-related role.
• Experience with U.S.-based healthcare providers, clinics or pharmacies preferred.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems, patient chart preparation, and medical documentation.
• Experience managing prescription refill requests, medication coordination and clinical communication.
• Familiarity with reviewing patient records, lab results, and medical orders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update patient charts at least 72 hours prior to appointments, ensuring completeness.
• Review patients’ prior visits, provider notes, test results, meds and tasks for continuity of care.
• Manage prescription refill requests by coordinating with providers, pharmacies, and patients per clinic protocols.
• Track medical orders (lab tests, imaging, referrals, supplies) and follow up.
• Perform healthcare admin tasks: data entry, patient communication, and coordination with staff.
• Maintain patient records in EMR/EHR with accuracy and compliance with HIPAA.
