Job summary

ClearSource is seeking a detail-oriented Permit Coordinator to move solar permit applications smoothly from submission to approval. You will review, prepare, submit, and manage packages, interconnection efforts, and related applications while coordinating payments and revisions with internal teams.

You will stay current on AHJ requirements, maintain databases, and drive continuous process improvements to meet program KPIs.

Qualifications

• Solar industry experience is a plus.
• TSR (Technical Support Representative) experience is a plus, especially blended accounts.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Are you detail-oriented, process-driven, and passionate about helping solar projects move smoothly from application to approval? We're looking for a Permit Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with jurisdictions and internal teams, and takes pride in ensuring every permit submission is accurate and efficient.

In this role, you will review, prepare, submit, and manage permit application packages — along with interconnection, rebate, and other related applications — in accordance with jurisdictional requirements, supporting each application throughout its full lifecycle. You'll coordinate payments, facilitate jurisdictional comments and revisions, record corrections, and update internal databases to drive continuous process improvement. Your ability to stay current on solar submission processes and AHJ requirements, collaborate cross-functionally, and maintain professionalism will be key to achieving program KPIs and keeping active projects moving forward.

What will you do as aPermit Coordinator

• Review, prepare, submit, and receive permit application packages in accordance with jurisdictional requirements, supporting each application throughout its full lifecycle (including interconnection, rebate, and other applications as deemed applicable by leadership).
• Coordinate payments and communicate with internal parties to facilitate jurisdictional comments and revisions.
• Record corrections and update databases to support continuous process improvement.
• Collaborate with the team to streamline processes and workflows.
• Ensure high-quality submissions and strong approval rates by staying current on solar submission processes and AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) requirements.
• Adhere to the schedule established by leadership.
• Maintain professionalism and responsiveness in the workplace and in online communications.
• Actively contribute to weekly meetings, including 1x1s and team huddles, through engagement, questions, and feedback.

At least college level; Engineering or Architecture background is recommended.
