Cebu Institute of Technology University is looking for a Periodical Librarian to manage the Library Periodicals section. The role involves developing procedures and organizing collections using Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme.

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science, be a Licensed Librarian, and preferably have experience in reference services. This position is located in Cebu City, Philippines.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Librarian under Republic Act 9246.
• Preferably with professional library experience in reference services.
• Experience in using online databases, integrated library systems, and digital reference tools.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for developing procedures for managing the Library Periodicals section.
• Develops and organizes the collection using the Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme and MARC format.

Connaissances

Professional library experience in reference services

Experience in using online databases

Good understanding of digital libraries

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Formation

Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science (BLIS)

Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or related field
