Job summary

Optum is seeking a Perimeter Security Analyst to manage security controls protecting client perimeters within a healthcare context. You will develop and enforce policies, govern firewall and related border protections, and coordinate with IT teams on risk assessments and incident response.

You will work to ensure HIPAA/HITRUST/NIST alignment, lead firewall reviews, and mentor colleagues while staying adaptable in a dynamic security environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an Information Security Operations teams.
• Advanced analytical skills to investigate, analyze and remediate security incidents.
• Proficient knowledge of perimeter security technology and monitoring tools.
• Experience with firewall reviews and tuning.
• Strong written communication for policy and procedure documentation.
• Knowledge of ITIL and data security principles.
• English Proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement information security policies, standards, and procedures to secure the client’s perimeter and all contained information assets.
• Manage and maintain perimeter security solutions to provide effective protection on border defenses.
• Perform restorative and responsive actions through advanced technical skills, triage, analysis, response and remediation for security incidents.
• Work directly with user departments to implement procedures and systems for protection of proprietary data.
• Provide subject matter expertise and direct collaboration with other IT security professionals.
• Ensure alignment of security policies with IT infrastructure frameworks (ISO 2700x, NIST, ITIL).
• Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions.
• Serve as a key resource on complex issues and lead teams or projects when needed.
